I know school just started again but before you know it the kids will be out of school, the temperatures will be in the triple digits and families will be on the move. Are you prepared for your move? If you’re like most of us who have a massive amount of day to day responsibilities then the answer is probably no.
I started this website with the hope of helping individuals and families ease the burden of their move. We all know moving stinks and you never know how much stuff you have until it comes time to move. You deserve a stress free move as much as anybody. Am I right?
With the large number of Phoenix AZ moving companies available to complete your move where do you start? The answer to that question depends on you. We all have different ideas about what the most important attributes are when choosing a Phoenix moving company. The aforementioned attributes could be years in business, the reviews they have received from customers or the overall cost of their moving services.
Analyzing each of those three attributes is a good starting point. Years in business sounds like a good measurement but can be misleading. The truth is that a company can say whatever they want to on their website just to sell you on their service. In order to get an accurate account of their years in business you would have to research public state records. I don’t know about you but that sounds like an awful lot of work to me. Years of experience in any industry always looks good because that specific moving company has withstood the test of time and the ups and downs of the economy. However, since most Phoenix moving companies probably offer similar styles of packing and unpacking trucks then years in business isn’t a strong enough metric to base your decision on.
The second attribute we spoke of above is moving company ratings. I personally think you could choose a quality moving company based off their reviews. I will openly tell you that some customers don’t leave reviews or may leave misleading reviews because certain customers don’t believe in giving five star reviews. That kind of thinking is a cop-out as far as I’m concerned. I am of the mindset that if you received a quality moving service experience and none of your belongings were damaged, misplaced, or stolen then you probably have your mover to thank. Whether or not this is your circumstance is really beyond the scope of this post. I don’t know if you packed your own belonging or if your moving company did. I would believe they packed the truck at the very least. I am of the belief that you shouldn’t hold back on acknowledging a quality service when you receive one. I know based off my experience in the customer service world that people don’t hesitate to tell you when they think you’ve done something wrong. Why hesitate to tell someone they have done a great, referral worthy job?
The third and final attribute you’re looking for from a reputable moving company is a fair and steady price. Unfortunately price can be a misleading factor as well. You may see an ad for two men and a truck for $39.99. The thing that’s hard to read about that ad, without a magnifying glass, is the fine print. The fine print is where all those hidden fees are located. The moving services offer looks good on the surface but you promptly place that ad in the recycle bin once you realize what the real costs are. The other question of dollars and cents isn’t just price but value. We’re all looking to receive the most value for our money. Aren’t we? At the very least we want to receive perceived value. If the value for our money is there then that’s the service to go with. The fact is that all value is perception based and very subjective. As long as you feel you’re getting the most value for your money then that’s what matters.
I will leave you with one final suggestion. Please, leave yourself enough time to research at least 3 metro Phoenix movers. You owe it to yourself and your family to make an informed decision.
